Everyone is doing the home-reno thing again, just like the good old days of mission brown bricks, wallpaper, exposed wood and vinyl tiles. Having recently completed working on an Australian feature film set in 1983 as the Graphic Artist I thought it would be fitting to post some ‘inspiration’ for those looking to get that 1980’s look for their renovators delight in the inner city.
I have a feeling we’ll be looking back at the new / old trend of exposed wood kitchens, bench tops, ceilings, just like mum and dad did on their 1910 cottage kitchen extension in the 70’s and laugh at how it dates the 2010’s. Same goes for all of these ‘pops’ of colour and that Bunnings Grey that every block, fence, home, couch is coloured with. So sit back, get your note pads, mood boards and scrap books ready and feast your eyes on these beautiful interior ideas, fresh from the moth balled archive box full of Home Beautiful’s from Don Bosco’s Op Shop.
So hard to decide.
Even Jim from Neighbours is getting in on the home renovators trend.
